About Us

Diaper Bank for Northeast Florida is committed to ending diaper need by providing diapers and essential resources to families with young children. Through community partnerships, volunteer engagement and advocacy, we help ensure every baby or toddler has the opportunity to stay healthy, comfortable and thrive.

Our Story

Diaper Bank for Northeast Florida was founded in October 2019 by Crystal Parks after learning about the growing crisis of diaper need in the United States. As a mother herself, Crystal was shocked to discover that federal assistance programs such as WIC and SNAP cannot be used to purchase diapers and that many families struggle to afford enough diapers to keep their babies clean, dry, and healthy.

Determined to help families in her own community, Crystal searched for a local diaper bank and was surprised to find that none existed in Jacksonville. Realizing there was a critical gap in services, she decided to start one herself.

In February 2020, Crystal hosted the organization's first community diaper drive, collecting more than 6,600 diapers to benefit Gateway-Steps to Recovery. What began as a grassroots effort quickly grew into a rapidly growing organization dedicated to addressing diaper need across Northeast Florida.

Today, Diaper Bank for Northeast Florida is one of the region's largest providers of diaper assistance, distributing hundreds of thousands of diapers each year through a network of community partner agencies.

With the support of donors, volunteers and community partners, the Diaper Bank continues to grow its reach and impact, ensuring more babies have access to the clean diapers they need to stay healthy and thrive.

Our Mission

To alleviate diaper need in the Northeast Florida community by providing low-income families with an adequate supply of diapers in order to keep their babies clean, dry and healthy.

Our Vision

We envision a community where no parent has to choose between buying diapers and paying for other basic necessities. By increasing access to essential hygiene supplies, we aim to support healthier babies, reduce stress for parents, and strengthen families across Jacksonville and the surrounding areas.

Our Three Pillars of Service

Compassion

We lead with empathy and kindness by ensuring every family is met with dignity, respect and understanding.

Equity

We believe that every family, regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation or circumstance, should have access to the diapers they need to keep their children clean, dry, and healthy.

Community

We strengthen our impact through collaboration with local partners, volunteers, and supporters. Together, we create a network of care that uplifts and empowers families in need.
